A bead shop owner once declared that we bead lovers are like magpies, collecting shiny bits and pieces for our nests. We are bewitched by gleam and glisten, color and texture. Every new discovery sets our hearts to a faster beat, our eyes widen to absorb the view, and our minds begin whirling with images of what might be.
Given this condition, you may imagine my delight at a bundle of goodies that arrived recently. Lengths of leather festooned with wood, silver with stone, faux garnets and shells. Ooooh, the possibilities! It’s not that I don’t already have many sizes, colors, and materials to work with – that is beside the point. Here is new inspiration, new creations that might be. And what might be always seems to be more enticing that what is, don’t you think?
